When do you get a yellow, sooty flame?

  • If there is no sufficient supply of air, it results in incomplete combustion of even saturated hydrocarbons giving a yellow, sooty flame. 
When do you get a blue flame?

✅ Answer
  • In presence of a sufficient supply of air with oxygen, it gives a blue flame.
